Privacy Policy

Last updated 21 October 2026 · MacroMeals (free beta), operated by Daniel Wilkins, Melbourne, Australia.

Short version: your settings, meal plans and shopping lists stay on your phone. There are no accounts, no ads, no tracking cookies, and we don't sell data. We only receive what you choose to send us (feedback or a waitlist email) plus anonymous daily usage counts.

1. Information stored on your device

Your store choice, calorie calculator inputs (age, sex, height, weight, activity, goal), macro targets, budget, household and kids settings, likes/dislikes, pantry items, your meal plan and ticked items are saved in your browser's local storage on your device. This is not sent to us. You can delete it at any time by clearing website data for this site (iPhone: Settings → Safari → Advanced → Website Data) or by removing the Home Screen app.

2. Information you send us

Please don't include health information or other sensitive details in feedback.

3. Anonymous usage counts

To understand whether the app is useful, the app sends a simple event (e.g. "visit" or "plan generated") that increases a daily total. These counts do not include your IP address, any identifier or cookie, and cannot be linked to you. A small marker in your device's local storage prevents counting you more than once per day.

4. Where data is kept

The website and the waitlist/feedback store are hosted on Cloudflare (Cloudflare Pages and Workers KV), which may process data outside Australia, including in the United States. Cloudflare may process technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and secure the site, under its own privacy policy. We don't use any other analytics, advertising or tracking services.

5. How long we keep it

Waitlist emails are kept until Pro launches and the early‑bird offer ends, or until you ask us to remove them. Feedback is kept for up to 24 months. Usage counts are aggregate and kept indefinitely.

6. Your choices and rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete the information you've sent us, or unsubscribe from the waitlist, by emailing us. We aim to handle the Australian Privacy Principles as best practice even though, as a small business, we may not be required to under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). If you're unhappy with our response you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

7. Children

MacroMeals is intended for adults planning meals. The kids feature only stores age bands and counts on your device. Please don't send us information about children.

8. Changes

If we add paid Pro features, accounts or payments (e.g. via Stripe), we'll update this policy before they go live.
